I absolutely love macaroni and cheese. The cheesiness and creaminess gets me every single time.
Being able to make this macaroni and cheese in the slow cooker is great. I know that it doesn’t take long to make on the stove, but the convenience of the slow cooker is awesome. I love that it frees up space on my stove and that it’s ready to go for potlucks and pitch-ins. This recipe makes a whole pot of macaroni and cheese, so it’s great for a crowd too!
Did I mention that it is easy?
Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese
You will need:
- 2 Cups Elbow Macaroni
- 4 Tablespoons Butter
- 2 Cups Of Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
- 1/2 Cup Of Italian Cheese Blend, Shredded
- 1/2 Cup Sour Cream
- 1 Can Condensed Cheddar Cheese Soup (10.75 oz)
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Cup Milk
- 1/2 Teaspoon Dry Mustard
- 1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper
To easily make this:
- Cook the 2 cups of macaroni for 6 minutes in boiling water and drain. Set pasta aside.
- In the saucepan, melt the butter and cheeses.
- Spray your slow cooker with non-stick spray or use a slow cooker liner. (I really love the liners!)
- Add the pasta, cheese mixture and all other ingredients to the slow cooker. Mix well.
- Cover and cook on low for 2 hours, stirring after about an hour.
