Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken is a go to meal in our house. It is a dump and go slow cooker meal. It takes minimal ingredients. It’s delicious. And it is versatile. We use it for sandwiches, loading on top of nachos, a buffalo chicken roll, tossing a bit into mac and cheese and even for adding on a baked potato. Super easy and good!
Plus, it is great for fall! Football season brings it’s own genre of food. And slow cooker buffalo chicken is a MUST!! I actually love bringing my slow cooker to football events. I can cook something, keep it warm, the slow cooker travels well and it makes enough for a crowd.
It is also good for the freezer. I plan on actually taking some out of our freezer and using it in our chili. I think it will give it an awesome taste!
This recipe calls for only 3 pieces of chicken, but it makes quite a bit. If you are looking for a recipe to stretch your money, this is for sure a great choice!
A few things before the recipe:
- Slow cooker liners aren’t necessary, but I’ve been spoiled with them. We actually ran out and I didn’t use one when we made this and I was instantly sad. One dish to clean? The horror! But they aren’t just good for avoiding messes! If you have leftovers you can just tie the bag and stick the whole thing in your refrigerator. No more hunting for the Tupperware lid.
- If you are looking for a good slow cooker, this is the one that we use. We actually have two of them! I absolutely love it!
- And finally, if you have leftovers, I highly recommend a vacuum sealer to make sure it stays nice and fresh. We use ours on the daily.
