Nacho night is a family favorite at our house! Kiddos love it because we are “having chips for dinner” and they can pile them high themselves. I love it because it’s really a pretty healthy meal!
And I also love it because it’s easy peasy. Especially with this slow cooker nacho bake recipe!
Now, this is a gluten free slow cooker meal. But you can also change out the meat that is used. Try beef, chicken, turkey or even bison.

I get quite a few emails about slow cookers and slow cooker meals. Hopefully this helps to answer any questions!
What kind of slow cooker do you use?
I have two. The first is a Kenmore 6 quart slow cooker. I like this one a lot, but the display doesn’t work on it anymore so it’s hard to see how long I’ve set the timer for! It also came with a small slow cooker, but I found that to get too hot so I never used it. I just got the Hamilton Beach Set ‘n Forget Slow Cooker and I love it!!
Do you really use those slow cooker liners?
Yes! And I love them. The grocery store closest to me doesn’t carry them so I just order them on Amazon.
Can you put raw meat in a slow cooker?
Well, from a safety point you shouldn’t unless you know the temperature will reach a certain degree in a certain amount of time. With that said, sometimes I do. But, I always make sure my slow cooker is set to high. We have obviously never been sick, but this is a use your own judgement question.
