I absolutely love macaroni and cheese.  The cheesiness and creaminess gets me every single time.
Being able to make this macaroni and cheese in the slow cooker is great.  I know that it doesn’t take long to make on the stove, but the convenience of the slow cooker is awesome.  I love that it frees up space on my stove and that it’s ready to go for potlucks and pitch-ins.  This recipe makes a whole pot of macaroni and cheese, so it’s great for a crowd too!
Did I mention that it is easy?
Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese
You will need:
  • 2 Cups Elbow Macaroni
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2 Cups Of Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese, Shredded
  • 1/2 Cup Of Italian Cheese Blend, Shredded
  • 1/2 Cup Sour Cream
  • 1 Can Condensed Cheddar Cheese Soup (10.75 oz)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Dry Mustard
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper
To easily make this:
  1. Cook the 2 cups of macaroni for 6 minutes in boiling water and drain.  Set pasta aside.
  2. In the saucepan, melt the butter and cheeses.
  3. Spray your slow cooker with non-stick spray or use a slow cooker liner.  (I really love the liners!)
  4. Add the pasta, cheese mixture and all other ingredients to the slow cooker.  Mix well.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 2 hours, stirring after about an hour.
YUM!  This recipe has come out perfect every time that we have made it!  It’s perfect for adding to your slow cooker keep recipes!
